The Market

Statistics Canada counted 1.78 million Muslims in Canada in 2021, just under 5% of the country. The median age is 30, against 41 nationally.

This is a young market. Most of these households are still choosing which brands to buy, which bank to use, where to shop. Those choices tend to last.

Not one audience

Canadian Muslims are a mosaic. South Asian, Arab, Somali, Iranian, Turkish, and close to a third born here.

Sample on ethnic origin and you reach a mix of faiths. Sample on faith and you reach a mix of ethnicities.

We build samples that hold both and read the findings against how these communities differ.

What we do

Qualitative research. Focus groups, interviews, community fieldwork.
Survey research. Questionnaire design through to analysis.
Cultural advisory. Guidance on how these communities differ, and what that means for your category.

Coverage

Languages. We field in English, French and other languages a study requires, through a network of moderators and translators we work with.

Sectors. Food and grocery. Retail. Charitable and non-profit. Media and broadcasting. Travel. And categories where these communities are a segment worth understanding on their own.
